Just people trying to do their best to help struggling Veterans and others find their way back... I came here needing to find affordable housing. Thanks to your case managers I have hope 🙏 in achieving that goal. I appreciate the safe clean environment and the good food. Being thankful and appreciative is a key component to being successful here. Again thank you one and all. 👋

It's definitely one of if not the best shelter in Columbus, Ohio for sure. Staff is great with everyone as long as they are respectful which is more than understandable. They also seem like they're strict but in reality they're just pushing you to find work or do what you need to take care of to get into housing and better your life. They don't tolerate laziness and you have to take your own initiative to talk to whoever you need to for help and resources so don't think the dorm monitors are going to do everything for you. Remember that it's your responsibility to do what needs to be done and not theirs. If you have questions or ask them anything they're more than willing to help or point you in the right direction to find it. But it's very clean because residents are required to do their own chores to clean and help inside their dorm or room. I'm not saying there isn't any bugs either but in the 2 months I spent there I never seen any myself. There are some confrontational and problematic residents that will be there from time to time also. The staff doesn't tolerate it long and takes action to correct Amy issues right away by either giving corrective warnings to those residents or kicking them out if it's not corrected. Fighting is definitely not tolerated one bit. There were quite a few cell phones that were stolen also so watch your belongings carefully. They do provide lockers to individuals but you have to provide your own locks. But overall my stay here was a relief off my shoulders and made one less thing for me to stress about while I got back on my feet.
