I've found the time I spend talking with Jenise to be very helpful, and it has impacted my growth in a positive way. I would definitely recommend her practice.

I’m no longer angry at my counselor. The truth: She’s encountered so many bad people that she knows the good people like me. I love her style. She was so knowledge in post-concussive syndrome. She told me that the tone of the person speaking to a person with post-concussive syndrome is of vital importance. The person with post-concussive syndrome will respond with the same tone. It’s weird symptom of PCS. She was so good. I got to sit there and just talk the whole time and vent. She wanted me out of my marriage. My ex-husband and I went there for 1 joint marriage session where my ex-husband refused to use the Feelings Wheel. He had no feelings towards me, I guess. I immediately had a feeling and cried and she made me talk through my tears….I didn’t like that. It’s hard for me to talk while I’m crying. My ex-husband wanted a mix of individual sessions and joint. We each had one individual and it was the end for us. I went in to see her for my visit (my ex-husband had the first individual) and she wanted us to separate immediately. At that point, I had basically decided it was time to leave so I gave my ex-husband the choice of staying married and working on it leaving in 2 separate houses with 2 separate living arrangements and meeting for counseling and dates. He chose to leave. Thought it would be easier. We didn’t go back and I didn’t go back until after the divorce where I needed to deal with work issues and my concussion. Adapting a concussion to real life is hard. In addition, I needed to heal up from the sexual misconduct a chiropractor by the name of Richard Ulm performed against me in 2013. She wanted me to turn him in immediately. She was behind me 100% so I did. She was a firm and strong woman who wanted me to turn in a lot of people. I do highly recommend her. It’s a very stress-free environment too.

Jenise was so caring and so professional, I felt we really connected in our conversations. I could tell she wanted to help me be the best person I could be, and with her caring, patient manner, she did help me. Regarding therapy, I think you have to WANT help in order for it to be successful, it will not work unless you take it seriously. I was honest enough with myself to know I had things I could work on, things that I could change to make me be a better person. I will absolutely talk with her again if I need to. I highly recommend her!

She is really easy to talk to, and was able to fit me in in the evening, which I needed. I got her name from a friend and have passed it on to others.

After my recent divorce, I became distraught and confused about how to proceed with my life. I felt like a wreck and I lost focus with work and my own personal studies, however after being referred Jenise Harmon's New Wings Counseling and going through sessions which have allowed me to de-stress and utilize methods that contribute to self improvement, I've not only been refined mentally but it's aided towards my physical rejuvenation. I wholeheartedly recommend her services.
